I am a Ugandan who holds a Bachelor’s Degree Arts Economics; Makerere University (MUK), Postgraduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management, Uganda Management Institute; (UMI), Master’s Management Studies (MMS) Uganda Management Institute (UMI) and currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma Monitoring and Evaluation; Uganda Management Institute; (UMI),
I am currently employed by Uganda National Roads Authority as Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) Sociologist in the Land Acquisition Department under the Directorate of Network Planning and Engineering to work on NDPIII road projects plus the Critical Oil Roads Projects particularly within the Albertine Grabben of Buliisa, Hoima and Masindi Districts
- I am a highly motivated, result oriented multi-skilled professional with over 8 years’ experience working with communities, 6 years of which I have been in the Land Acquisition Business to pave way for projects like bridge and road construction plus Oil and Gas exploration in the Albertine Grabben region in 2014. I am able to work in a multi-cultural setting and I know I will contribute greatly to the achievement of the company’s objectives, specifically in the areas of building and maintaining good stakeholder relationships, and Ensuring unfettered land access.

- Possess a clear understanding of stakeholder and community concerns, in relation to Land Acquisition specifically Land issues. I have experience in management of grievances, as well as contractor / consultant management to enhance attainment of desired outcomes.
- For close to 4 years I have worked at a supervisory level, overseeing a team of Field Stakeholder Engagement Officers/ Land and community Engagement Officers and Consultancies. During this time, as a team we contributed to the successful completion of the Exploration and Appraisal phase, at the same time supporting planning for future developments through participation in various studies like Environmental Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), Resettlement Action Planning (RAP), and management of Livelihood Restoration Plans.
- Managed a team of consultants working on Land survey and valuation resulting in closure of legacy issues relating to land acquisition with many Projects Affected Persons (PAPs) paid their compensation awards.

Job Duties :Main responsibilities • To develop Stakeholder Engagement Plans for the project; • Review of Environmental Social Impact Assessments reports (ESIA), Resettlement Action Planning reports (RAP), and management of Livelihood Restoration Plans while taking corrective action plans. • To develop livelihood restoration plans for the proposed road corridors; • Conduct community engagement meetings and prepare detailed engagement reports, highlighting critical emerging issues, suggestions and mitigations; • Conduct socio-economic surveys to ascertain the existing socio-economic situation along the proposed road corridors; • Propose a Grievance Management Mechanism / System for all assigned road Projects of NDPIII and Critical Oil Roads • To produce a general report with clearly marked information per road section; • Develop risk matrix and put in place risk mitigation measures on the land acquisition • Supervision of National Service Providers (NSPs) working with the contractors • Attending audits, site inspections and meetings with the contractors and NSPs in compliance with the terms of reference in their contracts • Monitoring progress of land acquisition processes from start to finish Details of achievements including the following; Completed reconnaissance assignments of all road projects assigned Completed the stakeholder consultations both at national and sub national level; with Rural Electrification Agency, National Forestry Authority, Ministry of Gender Labour and Social Development as well as the Buliisa, Masindi and Hoima District offices.
