My name is Nayiga Juliana Ssanyu. I am an enthusiastic and vibrant under graduate of Human Resource Management with over  1 year work experience in  human resources and administrative knowledge.

I have been working at Educate! Uganda and the following were some of my tasks; planning and organizing conferences and meetings, organizing and sourcing accommodation for guests and up country staff, supporting in recruitment (CV screening, planning interviews and scheduling orientation  for new recruits)  and supporting in leave management.

I aim to secure a challenging job position in the field of Human Resource Management of a reputable organization so as to build on my work experience to enable me build a personal and professional ladder scale.

I am self driven, require little or no supervision, can communicate well with others, adept in implementing employee related procedures and practices which serve well in advancing innovative and creative solutions to problems. I also work well in a group setting with  great interpersonal skills.

     Job Duties : 
    • Organizing RELI thematic group and country meetings; taking minutes, sending out meeting reminders to members as a way of ensuring their attendance for the meetings. • Sourcing and booking venues for RELI workshops or conferences which • Requesting for quotations from different service providers, negotiating prices with vendors and ensuring receipt of invoices after the events. • Making hotel bookings for accommodation of upcountry members and other guests RELI events. • Following up and ensuring that financial support is provided for all the RELI activities; Requesting for money from the African Population Health and Research Centre (the RELI Hub) to pay for communication allowance, workshops, conferences and hotels airtime allowance. • Preparing timelines for recruitment: organizing potential dates for hiring new staff. • CV screening of potential candidates: reading through submitted CV’s to find candidates that match the candidate profile of the particular role. • Organizing practical and panel interviews: phone calls and invitation emails to selected candidates, scheduling interview times and dates and liaising with the interview panelists. • carrying out reference checks for the final candidates: checking in with the referees of the final candidate to acquire more information about the particular candidate. • Preparing orientation schedules for new recruits: liaising with all the departments to organize most suitable interview dates and times for the new recruits. Preparing orientation schedules for newly recruited staff. • Leave Management Support to the HR department; collecting leave forms for both office and field staff to ensure that the information is updated in the leave tracker • Providing support in the organization of Educate! staff events and meetings; providing logistical support for end of term dinners and end of year party. • Receipt and Distribution of staff identity cards and medical insurance cards; making quality checks on the cards and ensuring that each card is signed for by the recipients. • Mentor paperwork management; Ensuring the receipt and safekeeping of mentor documents in their respective community unit files within the HR department.
