Candidate Profile

Maclian Senyonga is a Certified Energy Auditor (AEE 124708) in Uganda who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Makerere University. He has attained several professional development courses in Renewable Energy and Energy Management including Certified Energy Audit training by Energy Training Foundation, Solar Technical Certifications from Egypt, ISO50001 Lead Energy Auditor and several Energy Management trainings by GIZ. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Renewable Energy (Msc R.E ) from Cranfield University of the United Kingdom. He is a member of the Energy Efficiency Association of Uganda (EEAU), the Association of Energy Engineers International and the Energy Efficiency Network of Uganda.

I have advanced knowledge in the energy sector of Uganda specifically Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency where I have trained and been part of the implementation of a number of projects. I have conducted numerous energy audits in several industries including Cement processing, tea processing, Steel manufacture, beverage industries, Textiles, Sugar, Diary, commercial buildings and the hotel industry. I have participated in a number of renewable energy projects including design, installations and commissioning of solar power projects and low wind speed power generating projects for households and institutions.
