     Job Duties : 
    • To draft the Survey Methodology and follow up the approval. • To lead the survey team while carrying out survey activities such as extension of survey control points, Pegging the angle Points and Picking nature features along the corridior. • To clear the line route as per the pegged lines of all bushes or a tree along the way-leaves trace. Route clearance will be conducted on the approved line route and will be done to achieve right of way after route approval. • To coordinated with Engineer’s representative nominated way leaves officer as per the employer’s laid down resettlement action plan (RAP) and in line with the approved environmental management plan. • Before line clearance is conducted, we will ensure that adequate community sensitization has been conducted. • We will ensure that the property owners sign consent forms before clearance is conducted • We will obtain way leaves consent forms from REA wayleaves office and return filled forms to REA. • The bush clearance will be done by the use of machines or power saw for big trucked trees. All trees, snags, stumps, shrubbery, ant hills and undergrowth exceeding 2 meters in height as measured on the downhill site will be cut to a maximum stump of 20cm along the right -of-way. • All trees adjacent to the right-of-way falling across the conductors or against the tower be cut, this criterion also apply with the conductors displaced 50degrees from the vertical in either direction. • We will engage the services of the local leadership (e.g L.C) during the line clearance activity. Only the branches will be trimmed for the trees located beyond the 5 meters. The heavy branches/ bushes will be carefully stacked outside the right of -way for tittle landowners to collect as directed by respective official but kept from interfering with vehicle movements or being a hindrance to road traffic. We will remove and dispose of any felled trees and waste materials such as useless packaging material to the satisfaction of the Engineer. • Safety measures for all personnel working at height will be religiously adhered to always to eliminate any accidents. These measures are not limited to donning safety gear such as wearing protective helmets, suitable gloves, overalls and goggles.
