WORK EXPERIENCE
Century Bottling Company (COCACOLA) Team leader WAREHOUSE, February 2019 to date
I was later appointed internally to work as a warehouse team leader, a role that I have been in since February 2019. This role has got me familiar with a lot of operations in warehousing, including; loading and offloading management, returns management, stock management, people leadership, stock counts and reconciliations, timely order fulfillment tracking to mention but a few.
My exposure in using SAP an Integrated Enterprise Resource Planning System is also something I highly boast of, especially with the Sales and Distribution Module (SDM) and the Warehouse Management Module (WMM)
Century Bottling Company (COCACOLA) Ag.Team leader distribution, July 2018 to February 2019
Immediately after the Graduate Training program, I was retained in the distribution section where I acted as team leader for of the section. I was exposed to daily routines of driver management, order fulfillment, driver allocation, vehicle/ equipment utilization, fuel management, driver performance evaluations, managing 3rd party providers of hired fleet among others
Century Bottling Company (COCACOLA) Graduate management trainee December 2016 to July 2018
Coca-Cola gave me an opportunity to train with them for a period of 1 and a half years as a logistics graduate trainee. This allowed me the opportunity to learn and understand the different units and operations of this beverage processing company. During this training, I got a chance to understand different aspects to do with warehousing operations, distribution management, driver management, fleet management among many more activities. This was the perfect career shaping time for me.
Uganda Breweries Limited SALES AMBASSADOR, August 2016 to November 2016
This was immediately after campus where I joined UBL as their sales ambassador in Kampala and Mbarara. During this time, I was tasked to interact with different consumers of the different UBL brands to grow volumes in order to hit the set targets weekly. This job allowed be to improve my interpersonal skills since I had to interface with different people of all backgrounds
Second internship training at Vision Group, June to July 2015
I am currently undertaking my second internship training from the stores unit, whereby I have been exposed to things to do with item issue from stores, requisition, goods inspection, invoicing for disposal, filing and record keeping, returns handling, entering and posting of requisitions, stock taking among others. I have also gained so much expertize with the use of the new vision share point and NAVISION.
First internship training, at Vision Group, June and July 2014
I undertook my first internship training at vision group in the procurement unit where I got an opportunity to interact with different professionals. I got a chance to have an interface with the enterprise resource planning software of NAVISION. I also got skills to do with developing payment vouchers, goods received notes among others.
Sales representative at Karole hardware in Mbarara during my senior six vacation, 2012.
I was a sales representative for a hard ware shop mentioned above, whereby I gained skills and expertise in handling different customers and serving the different needs of the customers. This gave me great artisanship in the field of sales and marketing hence can handle each and every sales or marketing challenge.
Leadership positions in school
I have held the following leadership positions
- Public relations officer of the guild electoral commission.
- Guild representative of procurement students ( FOR 3 YEARS)
- The treasurer of the makerere university business school procurement students association.
- The deputy speaker of the makerere university business school procurement students association.
- The deputy speaker of the Ntare school students council
- Legal advisor of the youth alive Africa Ntare school chapter
- The general secretary of the scholars initiative for environmental conservation Uganda (an association that I cofounded with other students to conserve the environment)
All the above leadership positions have helped to work with different people and hence master the art of human behavior.
The leadership positions have also helped me to become confident about life through public speaking forums which has helped me to become an ambitious person who looks forward to perfecting each and every work of my hands.
Procurement seminars attended while at Makerere University Business School
I have attended different procurement trainings about goods handling, supplier involvement in procurement, supplier evaluation, and customer needs importance in procurement among others. My certificates that I acquired can certify all these trainings. Experts from UNBS would facilitate these trainings; Barolle logistics Africa, Spedag inter freight, among other specialists.
Police training for defence and skills at arms from Kabalye Masindi
I undertook a police training for the acquisition of defence tactics and skills at weapon use from July to August 2014 in Kabalye police training school in Masindi. This gave me an exposure of the public service environment and enabled me to have a patriotic and servant feeling towards national development.
