Candidate Profile

1. Conducting legal research and drafting timely legal opinions to support the company’s operations. 2. Acting as the legal entity’s focal point with respect to the Company’s land access, acquisition and resettlement activities. 3. Ensuring Company’s compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements in Uganda, Identifying potential legal/contractual risks and proposing mitigation measures. 4. Monitoring and analyze national and international laws and regulations and advising on their impact on the Company’s operations. 5. Drafting, reviewing and participating in the negotiation of agreements and other legal documentation. 6. Liaising with various stakeholder including Government departments and agencies, Joint Venture Partners, Local communities and contractors to resolve contractual and other legal issues.
