Duties:
- The primary role was to Audit Total Uganda, Kisoro Service station and it entailed the following;
- Stock taking that included the shop, fuel, lubricants, tyres, accessories, batteries, low-pressure gas, and solar lights
- Verifying the status of the working capital at the service station
- Verifying and stock taking fuel at the station and making sure that a test is done to prove that there is no water present in the tanks
- Drawing up ledgers for debtors and confirm debtors balances
- Verifying if the station is in conformity with policies and standard operating procedures as directed by Total Uganda
- Checking and verifying salary schedules and check if Pay As You Earn (PAYE) and National Social Security Fund (NSSF) is remitted as due
- Taking pump readings and cross checking against the daily sales
- Reconciliation of fuel cards (Credits), purchases, deposits on the fuel cards (Debits), Bank slips, Electronic fund transfers, against the main product account of the station
- Gathering of evidence in terms of pictures, documents, to verify information that is given by the Manager at the branch
- Re-performing the arithmetic accuracy of balances of the books of accounts kept at the station
- Cross checking expenses incurred at the station and verify with source documents
- Generating a cash flow sheet in terms of incomes against expenditures to track daily cash earned against the cash banked
- Writing a report on the actual findings at the station.
