HR Compliance Administration

  • Negotiate, process, review and monitor employment contracts for MS staff

Employee Labour Relations

  • Ensure that appropriate discipline and grievance handling mechanisms are in place and that agreed procedures are adhered to by both management and staff for resolution of grievance and disciplinary issues.
  • Ensure that grievance and disciplinary cases are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Monitors issues of individual or collective staff concerns such as remuneration, entitlements, welfare, complaints and grievance related problem, makes appropriate recommendations and advice, or counsels affected staff accordingly.

Major Function: To provide Strategic Human Resources Support to the Senior Management Team, Line Managers, Supervisors, Staff and Implementing partners including local government CAOs, DHOs, PHROs in eight (8) districts under PEPFAR /CDC funding of the regionalization program with now 300+ permanent employees and 400+ Human Resources for Health employees across the eight (8) districts in the Rwenzori region (western Uganda).

Key Achievements

  • Intensely improved the performance of the HR directorate in the Rwenzori region as evidenced by 40% improvement in service scores during this year’s employee survey results.
  • Greatly contributed towards organizational restructuring and hiring of 300+ employees in a period of two (2) months.
  • Recruitment of 400+ district supported staff in a period of three (3) months.
  • Greatly participated in leadership and performance management trainings for the district’s leadership across the Rwenzori region.
  • Saved over $1,200 annually in benefit contribution overpayments by conducting monthly payroll audits before salary remittances.

Major Function: Reporting to the respective country directors, to lead the Human resources and administration directorates in one of the leading courier services companies across the globe.

Key Achievements.

  • Significantly reduced recruitment cost by over $3,000 annually through introducing the in-house recruitment methods.
  • Greatly reduced the administration by negotiating better services agreements with the different services providers to the organizations.
  • Negotiated best rental agreements in two countries for all places of operation including upcountry offices.
  • Strategy champion for Aramex Uganda Limited. Coordinated the strategy updates for the entire country for a period of two (2) years
  • Developed the HR Policies Manual and the Employee Handbook for both Aramex Uganda Limited and Aramex Tanzania Limited.

  • Maintained a great a relationship with the best universities in Uganda through continuous contacts to provide outstanding university performers for consideration in form of internship.
  • Continuously updated and monitored records of over 700 employee’s physical files as well as in the Banker’s Realm (HR system).
